1. The seller

We answer written enquiries within two working days.

2. Scope

By placing an order, the buyer confirms they have read and accepted these terms. The version in force at the time the order is placed applies to that order.

Where the buyer is a consumer, the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Law and Cabinet Regulation No. 255 on distance contracts also apply. Where the buyer is a legal entity, consumer protection provisions do not apply.

3. Placing an order

The item is configured on the product page: size, material, tone, legs and storage box. The chosen configuration and its price are shown in the cart and at checkout before confirmation.

The display of goods on the site is an invitation to make an offer, not a binding offer. The contract is concluded when the buyer receives an order confirmation by email stating the order number, configuration, price and delivery method.

If the ordered configuration cannot be produced, we contact the buyer and offer an alternative or cancel the order with a full refund.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in euros and include 21% value added tax. Delivery costs are not included in the item price and are shown separately before payment.

Title to the goods passes to the buyer once payment has been received in full.

5. Production, delivery and risk

Production and delivery arrangements are described on the Delivery and payment page.

The risk of accidental loss passes to the buyer when the goods are handed over to the buyer or a person named by them.

6. Right of withdrawal

7. Conformity and warranty

The statutory two-year conformity guarantee applies from the day the goods are received.

The guarantee does not cover damage caused by improper use, care, storage or unauthorised modification, nor normal wear.

Wood and natural fabrics are natural materials. Differences in tone, grain and texture between items, and the gradual change of wood tone under light, are not defects.

8. Intellectual property

The content of the site — texts, photographs, design and trade marks — belongs to LatOak or is used with the owner’s permission. Republishing it without written permission is not allowed.

9. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for losses arising from the site being unavailable for technical reasons. These terms do not limit consumer rights arising from mandatory law.

10. Complaints, disputes and governing law

Submit complaints in writing to our email address; we reply within 15 working days.

If no agreement is reached, a consumer may turn to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (ptac.gov.lv) or use the European Commission’s dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).

The contract is governed by the law of the Republic of Latvia. Disputes that cannot be settled are heard by the courts of the Republic of Latvia.
